These indicators are the same as those found on the School Reports: Using Information and Recruiting and Supporting Teachers, except that they are aggregations of all schools in the district.
The rates of suspension are broken down by school level: elementary, middle, and high schools, with an additional indicator that shows the rates of suspension (districtwide, all schools and statewide, all school) for students with disabilities.
The percent of classes not taught by a Highly Qualified Teacher includes a breakdown for the high-poverty schools (schools among the highest-poverty quartile in the state) and low-poverty schools (schools among the lowest-poverty quartile in the state), with poverty measured as the percent of students eligible for subsidized lunch. These two indicators are new in Information Works! 2008.
The final Teacher indicator, the teacher-student ratio, shows the number of teachers (full-time equivalent) compared with the number of students in the district (and state).
