Indicator measures and definitionsSALT Survey teacher response rate: the percentage of the total number of eligible teachers in this school who responded to the 2006 SALT Survey. SALT Survey student response rate: the percentage of the total number of students in this school who responded to the 2006 SALT Survey. SALT Survey parent response rate: the percentage of students in the school whose parents responded to the 2006 SALT Survey. Dropout Rate (high-school reports only): the percentage of students who dropped out of the 2006 graduating class from the time that class entered the high school. Stability: This indicator shows the proportion of the total student enrollment who stayed in the school throughout the school year. The rate is calculated as: The number of students who are members of a school for 170 days or more / The total number of students enrolled in the school during the year. Mobility: This indicator shows the rate of student turnover, or the percentage of students who moved into or out of the school during the school year. It is calculated as: The total number of students entering or leaving a school between October 1st and June 1st / The average daily membership in the school during the school year.
Rate of Suspension: the number incidents of students being temporarily dismissed from school, receiving an in-school suspension, or being sent to an alternative placement, reported as a percentage of the number of students in the school.
