Staffing and Expenditure Overview

This table shows information about the number of teachers, staffing levels, total expenditures on education, and per-pupil expenditures on education for the school and for the state as a whole at this school’s level (elementary, middle, or high school).

Expenditures for various student populations

This set of four bar graphs shows student counts and per-pupil expenditures, in each school and statewide at the school’s level (elementary, middle, or high school) for four different types of student populations.

The first set of bar graphs shows the expenditures for general education and for the Title I federal program for high-poverty schools and districts. (Not all schools receive Title I funds.) This shows the basic per-pupil education costs for all students in the school; you will note that the data from this set of bar graphs is carried forward to the next three bar graphs as well.

The second set of bar graphs shows the expenditures for students with disabilities who receive special-education services. You will note that these students receive general-education services, Title I services (if the school receives Title I funds), plus special-education services.

The third set of bar graphs shows the expenditures for the education of English-language learners.

The fourth set of bar graphs shows the expenditures for the education of students enrolled in career-and-technical education programs.

Some schools have no students in some or all of the student populations. Also note that all students are counted under general education, and many students may be counted as members of more than one student population. For example, a student who is an English-language learner and enrolled in career-and-technical education would be counted under those two categories as well as under general education.
