Health Report and Connectedness Report

These reports present information from the annual SALT Survey of all students, teachers, and parents in the state. The reports generally show the response to individual questions on the 2004-05 survey for the school as a whole and for all schools this school’s level (elementary, middle, or high school). Suspensions

What you are looking at

This table shows information about students who have been temporarily dismissed from school or sent to an alternative placement, broken out by the reason for the suspension. There are a total of 40 types of infraction listed on the table. The information is reported by number of incidents of suspension, number of students involved in suspensions, total number of days lost to suspension, a suspension rate (number of incidents per 100 students enrolled).

What you are looking for

You would like to see relatively few suspensions in the school, and none regarding incidents of violence, controlled substances, bullying, hate crimes, and gang activity.
